Story: Yellow Planet & Cuento: El Planeta Amarillo

The Yellow Planet

I

In this beautiful planet desertico and cloudless skies, in one of the many rock formations in the country of Kumbu-La, he lived a scientific abstraction. Morlo was his name. From the terrace of his house, saw the rays of Alberta who came to the cave.  He was resting with a cup of tea cactus in one hand. It was a moment of calm and serenity, until a gust of wind made him remember the fantastic story of yours. Those graceful creatures quadrupeds, in the past, they ran through the oasis of high foliage. They were first adventures of the ancestors by vast deserts of the world.
The landscape hypnotizes the scientist, while realized he was about 102,000 turns from Amarillo to Alberta. Its people, thanks to an ancient and revered galactic civilization, had become aware. Also, in the landscape of the window, hundreds of very specific flowers they looked. Morlo knew that, according to ancient stories, these flowers had been created by the same civilization, which once gave him his people awareness. Knew that this civilization, looking for a destination, had left for the stars.
The village of Moro had another legacy of this mysterious civilization: the language and the name of his kind, "Agulares", a word that derives from having four hands, two in front and two behind.
Over time, to decipher ancient texts, the Aguilares learned to create flowers minerals. From dawn to dusk, glisten in the desert horizons of the planet.
Not believe that Agulares are alone on this earth! They have the help of an interesting species that populate the vast galaxy: the human species. Together, they shape the flowers that adorn the landscapes of this desert and rocky world.

II

Morlo observes the landscape with his spyglass by the large windows sandstone, naturally, they are formed in the yellowish rock.
    There were thousands of flowers!
    — Everything tends to center and stabilizes — He said loudly.
He looked at his latest creation: The golden flower and see it shine, he thought: "A lot of light comes from Alberta...”
For the irregular staircase amounted he man and asked:
—Sigus... what is the number that the sky decided to rule the stellar order?
—Thirteen! —Replied the man who was his assistant in the task of creating mineral flowers.
—If thirteen is the number that is built the Universe, dear Sigus, should we assume that there are thirteen divisions of infinity?
—I think, Morlo, which is likely to be thirteen ... —responded terse way the human.
Sigus would have given a better answer, but his thoughts were a league away, more precisely, on the grounds of his home, where he experimented with something wonderful. Small and fine grasses.
"A real living carpet!", he thought proudly and continues: "I made a real miracle, because in the wild, grows very scattered and slow." Then he asked if dialogue with the scientific, that every twenty-eight laps from Yelloy to Alberta, he paid his salary, do not be because, with his telepathy, Agular suspected something. He suspected that his attention was on the experiment of his house.
—Since I do not pay attention, you're free to go home —said abstraction scientist, who had read the thoughts of his employee.
Payment time was fulfilled and Sigus, accustomed to Morlo telepathy, he only felt obliged to say goodbye. As usual, he greeted the Agular with one hand. Once on the road bordered by fluorescent orange stones, worries returned. I thought about his wife. She was ecstatic with his experiment, but unlike he had his own ideas about what still considered meager results.
"Emma wants to eat the little grass!" He said, still anguished, and left his usual unhurried pace and started walking faster. "I must do the impossible to convince her that this is not the destination I chose for my experiment," he said when Alberta with Solferinos rays marked the end of that day.
He reached the door of his stone house. A billion poked star in the sky and Emma, as he entered, said:
—Watch your experiment and I was wondering, what are you going to do with so rich grass?
Sigur pulled the poncho; the chiton was left and confessed:
—Emma, how many times do I have to tell you? I do not see it as a food. It's just an experiment... —She looked at him and he continued—: They pay me a salary with which we can buy vegetables.
He left the poncho on the rack:
    —Let the market and...
But he could not finish. Emma goes into hysterics and as loud, said:
—The vegetables in the market are not half as nutritious has these! And these have them here, without having to walk a league!
—Emma dear, we go slowly —Sigus said conciliator and in an attempt to calm her down, he added—: Let's get to see the night sky...
His wife agreed, not convinced, and after a few laps, which ordered some basins, finally came to watch the show from the galactic center. She sat on the floor next to her husband and, with imagination, the two watched the millardo of multi colored stars and the twenty clusters of geometric constellations of flowers. Several shooting stars crossing the sky. A strong silence covered the sky and Emma was first to speak:
—I don't want you to think I'm against the experiment... —Sigus orders his curly hair, smiled, he kissed Emma and continued—: I just want to know what the purpose of all this...
He looked at his beautiful woman with love and said:
    —I'll tell you...
    —I'm all ears...
—Once I had a dream. In that dream, the world was covered with the most delicious pastures you've ever tasted... —He took out his pipe and prepared your snuff —: I've discovered a formula!
    —For what?
    Sigus fliker and replied:
—To create green and with them carpets, cover our desert planet —extended his arms to cover the horizon with his hands—. Our world would be green Emma! We will feed the best grass!
—We can get rich! — she exclaimed.
Sigus knew he was joking. They laughed together, he felt he lost a huge weight off, and said to himself: "Now I know my experiment is in good hands ..."

El planeta amarillo

I

    —Voy a contarte...
